Most frequently the
Karic Foundation makes its contribution through grants to different organizations and
institutions that help vulnerable social groups :
centers for the care of orphans and children with developmental problems,
associations for the handicapped, institutions caring for handicapped children, old
people's homes, hospitals and other institutions for medical and social care. |

| The Karic
Foundation has distributed a significant part of the aid destined for refugees and
displaced people through a network of other humanitarian organizations - the Red
Cross and Serbian Orthodox Church's humanitarian organizations.
Help for those hit by natural disasters,
is sent directly to the relevant organizations. |

The Karic Foundation
also receives a large number of requests for financial help and other kinds of
help from individuals and families who have found themselves, for whatever reason
in difficulties. Where able, the Foundation responds to these individual requests. |

From
among several hundred acts of charity in the course of the existence of the Karic
Foundation we shall name the following: |
| Life pensions to veterans of the Thessaloniki front
- since 1990 the Foundation has been paying regular monthly pensions to all surviving
veterans of the Balkan and First World Wars 1912-1918;
Financial contributions towards
the purchase of artificial limbs for victims of the 1990 war; |

| Help
to the victims of natural disasters - the Foundation made the largest
single donation to the victims of the 1992 earthquake in Montenegro, the families of
miners killed in the "Soko" mining disaster, in 1998 and the families of miners
who lost their lives in Dnjeprodrezinski mine in 1996. |

Aid for refugees - in cooperation with the Karic
Foundation branches in Cyprus, Moscow, London and Vienna, the Foundation has collected
hundreds of tons of medication, clothes, footwear and food for refugee families in the
course of the war in Bosnia and Croatia; following the Serbian government's recommendation
the aid was distributed in cooperation with the Commissariat for refugees and the
humanitarian organization of the Serbian Orthodox Church "Dobrocinstvo". |
| To health centers and hospitals - the Foundation
has made large financial contributions, to the amount of tens of thousands of marks, for
the purchase of medicines and medical equipment for the Institute for Mother and Child,
the Military-Medical academy, the Institute for the Health Protection of Mother and Child,
for the construction of a children's clinic in Nis and children's wards in Pec and
Pristina. Many other institutions have also received help. |

To organizations caring for abandoned children -
the Foundation co-financed the renovation of the "Mladost" Home for Abandoned
Children in Kragujevac; it made a significant contribution to the Home for Abandoned
Children in Zrenjanin, then to the Belgrade Centre for the Protection of Infants, Children
and Adolescents; it finances the purchase of equipment for the "J.J. Zmaj" Home
for Abandoned Children in Belgrade; |
| To
institutions working with children with learning difficulties - the Karic
Foundation donated significant financial resources to a large number of these
organizations and specialized schools for children with learning difficulties, among them
the Special School "Vuk Karadzic" in Sombor, the Home for Children and
Adolescents with Learning Difficulties in Sremcica, the special elementary schools
"Sava Jovanovic" in Zemun and "Antun Skala" in Belgrade; |

Help to individuals and families - The Foundation
attempts to respond to the requests of numerous families and individuals who ask for help
out of their difficulties. One off financial assistance is given to a large number of
people and families in trouble. In addition the Foundation gave a five room flat to the
eleven member Bunic family in Belgrade. Regular assistance is given by the Foundation to
the dependents of Inspector Radisic in Belgrade. |
