With a strong belief that cultural dialogue contributes to an establishment of harmonious relations, as well as to preservation and promotion of the common cultural and historical heritage to future generations, the „Karić Brothers“ Foundation and the International Organization of Turkic Culture -TURKSOY have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

Nowadays, when it is most difficult to maintain a sense of intimacy with the peoples of the world and to promote culture and international cooperation, the “Karić Brothers” Foundation hosted on Friday, April 16, an official delegation of the International Organization of Turkic Culture-TURKSOY, that is said to be UNESCO of the countries speaking the languages of the Turkish language family. This organization was founded back in 1993 with the intention of strengthening the ties of brotherhood and solidarity among the Turkic nations, passing on the common Turkic culture to future generations and presenting it to the world. In recent years, cooperation with the Balkan countries, particularly with Serbia, has been especially strengthened. Exceptional merit for cooperation and development of cultural cooperation among the Balkan nations, especially with Serbia, belongs to Prof. Kasseinov, who has been the Secretary General of TURKSOY since 2008. Numerous concerts, special art endeavors and presentations of representative achievements of the Serbian cultural scene, thanks to the mediation of Prof. Kasseinov, significantly improved the cultural exchange between Serbia and the member countries of the International Organization of Turkish Culture in the Balkans.

Recognizing the enormous contribution and unwavering faith in the ideas of art and culture as universal civilizational values that unite the peoples of the world and promote tolerance and peace among them, the „Karić Brothers“ Foundation presented Prof. Dusen Kasseinov the „Karić Brothers“ Award for culture and art last year for his immeasurable and lasting contribution to strengthening and developing traditional, friendly and fraternal ties between nations, as well as for his exceptional commitment to promoting Balkan and Serbian culture in the world.
